The short version

This site is a set of static pages. It runs no analytics, no advertising tags and no tracking cookies. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell or share personal data, because we do not collect any through this website.

One exception, described in full below: on pages carrying a commercial link, we read a single-use identifier from the web address when you arrive from an advertising campaign, so we can measure whether that campaign paid for itself. It is not a cookie, it does not persist once you close the tab, and it is not used to build a profile of you.

What we do not collect

Campaign measurement, on pages with a commercial link

When you arrive at this site from a paid search campaign, the web address may carry a short identifier generated by our measurement provider. If it is present, we store it in your browser’s session storage — not a cookie, cleared automatically when you close the tab — and attach it to the outbound link if you click through to the product or service the page discusses.

The sole purpose is attribution: knowing that a specific campaign led to a specific outbound click, so we can tell whether the campaign is worth its cost. We do not use this identifier to build a profile, to track you across unrelated visits, or to combine it with anything else we hold about you — which is nothing, since we hold no account or contact data unless you email us.

What our hosting provider processes

The site is served by a content delivery network. Like any web server, it processes technical request data — such as IP address, browser user agent and the page requested — in order to deliver the page and to protect the service from abuse. That processing is carried out by the hosting provider as part of serving the site, and we do not combine it with anything else or use it to identify individual visitors.

If you email us

Writing to [email protected] means we hold your message and your address for as long as needed to deal with the matter you raised, and to keep a record of any commercial agreement. We do not add addresses obtained this way to a marketing list.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to object to its processing. Email [email protected] and we will respond.
